Welcome to Stones, Sweeps and Neurodiverse Peeps
Join us for a special Sensory-Friendly Curling Drop in Session.
No experience needed – come discover why curling is a sport for everyone.
This is a welcoming, sensory-friendly, and neuro-affirming environment where the whole family can try curling in a way that feels safe and fun.
Neurodiversity is a natural part of human variation. Many people experience the world through heightened sensory input, unique communication styles, or different ways of learning. Too often, those differences can create barriers to participation in sport. With just a few simple changes Inclusive Curling is able to make Curling for Every Kind of Mind with things like Quieter Environments, Dimmed Lighting, Predictable Structure, Neuro-Affirming Coaches.

FAQ
Do I need any curling experience to participate?
No. In fact this experience is geared towards people experiencing curling for the first time.
Do I (or my child) need a Diagnosis such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, or Tourette's to take part?
Not at all. Anyone who thinks they could benefit from a sensory-friendly and gentle introduction to curling is more than welcome to attend along with their family members, friends and support persons. We also recognize that there are significant barriers to getting a diagnosis, so that will never be a requirement for our programming. It is expected that all participants will be kind and respectful to the other attendees, as we are all unique and have differing needs.
What equipment do I need?
If you don’t have any curling equipment it’s ok! Bring a clean pair of indoor shoes and a helmet (optional but recommended). We will take care of rest.
My kids are interested in participating, but can parents, friends, and support persons try too?
Absolutely! We want everyone to feel comfortable and it can be more enjoyable trying out a new activity with people we already know and trust.
What kind of activities will be provided?
We will have several stations set up for guests to try different aspects of the game: introduction to curling, strategy & scoring, sweeping, and delivery. Participants are encouraged to visit every station at their own pace and can take breaks anytime.
What if we need to take a break?
No problem! In fact we encourage it and have a quiet zone setup with sensory items for anyone to use at anytime.
What age do I have to be?
This experience is designed for all ages – kids, teens and adults. We do recommend kids be at least 4 years old.
Will refunds be provided if I need to cancel?
Yes. As long as you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, a full refund will be provided. Please allow a few extra days for processing.

Founder of Inclusive Curling
My name is Nicky Kaufman, and I was recently diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. That moment reshaped the way I see both my struggles and my strengths, and it made me realize just how much the game of curling has given me. Curling has been my anchor for over 25 years, teaching me confidence, teamwork, leadership, and giving me a community I deeply value. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without it. That’s why I feel such a strong responsibility to create spaces where others like me can step onto the ice and experience not only the sport, but the same sense of belonging and possibility it has given me.
At Inclusive Curling, Everyone Belongs
Curling can become a sport where neurodivergent athletes feel safe, welcome, and able to thrive.
That’s why I started Inclusive Curling. This initiative is about more than just trying a new sport. It’s about creating a space where kids, teens, and adults can feel understood, accepted, and valued exactly as they are. It’s also about showing that curling is a sport for everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, or neurotype.
